David Hartman (born May 19, 1935) is an American actor. He is German. and his father was a Methodist minister.
After David left The Virginian, he played Dr. Paul Hunter on The Bold Ones (1969) with John Saxon. He
played a high school English teacher in Lucas Tanner (1974). He later went onto ABC's Good Morning America
from 1975-87. He was also on an episode of The Carol Burnett Show (1967). David's nickname is "Toothy".
